Custom wall art FAQs
The best wall art depends on the look you're trying to achieve. Canvas prints add texture and a gallery-style finish, framed prints offer a timeless display, acrylic prints provide exceptional clarity, metal prints create vibrant color, wood prints add natural character, and mounted prints deliver a clean, contemporary look. Compare our wall art styles to find the best option for your photos and space.
The main difference is the finish and texture. Custom canvas prints have a classic woven texture that mimics a painting. Metal prints are printed on aluminum for a high-gloss, modern look. Acrylic prints are printed beneath a glass-like acrylic surface to provide exceptional depth and vibrant color.
Canvas prints are a popular choice because of their artistic look. Framed prints and mounted prints are also favorites thanks to their timeless style and polished appearance. Personalized wall art featuring family photos, travel memories, and scenic landscapes is another popular option.
Start by planning your layout before hanging your wall art. Hanging larger pieces at eye level creates a natural focal point, while smaller prints can be arranged around them for balance. For gallery walls, keep spacing consistent and combine different sizes to create an attractive display.
For the best results, use high-resolution photos that are sharp, well-lit, and have good color and contrast. Family portraits, vacation photos, landscapes, and pet photos all work well. Avoid blurry or low-quality images, especially when creating larger wall art prints.
Personalized wall art helps make your home feel more welcoming by showcasing the people, places, and memories that matter most. Whether displayed as a single statement piece or as part of a gallery wall, custom photo prints add warmth and personality to any room.
Most photos can be turned into custom wall art with Walmart Photo. Simply upload your image, choose your preferred wall art style, select a size, and personalize your design. For the best print quality, we recommend using a high-resolution image.
Canvas and framed prints are popular living room choices for their gallery-style finish, while larger sizes work well above a sofa or as a statement piece.
Yes. Custom wall art featuring a couple's photo, a family portrait, or a shared memory makes a meaningful, lasting gift for weddings, anniversaries, and housewarmings.
